2017 – You Are Invited to Events Along the Byway – 2017

SOLAR ECLIPSE

August 21- Time: 12:45 PM – 1:45 PM CDT-South Sioux City Public Library-2121 Dakota

Avenue Solar Eclipse Viewing- Library will provide viewing glasses provided by NASA.
he glasses are free of charge to all persons who participate to safely watch the eclipse.
Residents may come to the library to request the free solar eclipse viewing glasses for self or for family. The limit is 5 glasses per person. Contact Dan Nieman or Dave Mixdorf. Website:  http://www.southsiouxcity.org/library

August 21- Ponca State Park 11:30 – 1:00 CDT- Guests will have opportunity to stroll through five stations which have solar topics.

August 21-Niobrara State Park-Area students will be visiting park, garnering information during the solar eclipse.

September 2 & 3-Newcastle’s 150th Celebration

Sat. Sun. Golf Tournament, Music in the Park, Fireworks

September 4- Newcastle Labor Day Parade & Car Show, Threshers Display, kids games in the park, races and watermelon feed.
